Sign your team up today for Day of Caring : September 19, 2018
Every year, United Way pulls together hundreds of volunteers for one giant day of service for Boone, Clay, Kanawha, Logan and Putnam Counties! Volunteers can adopt a wide variety of projects, including painting, landscaping, mentoring children, helping at a food pantry and installing a Born Learning Trail. Day of Caring is a great chance to bond with your team, get out of the office and make great things happen for our community!
In 2017, more than 800 people from local businesses and schools volunteered their time on Day of Caring at 57 projects. Volunteer teams paired up with non-profit agencies such as Rea of Hope, Arts in Action, Boys & Girls Club, Piedmont Elementary Celebration Station and others to get much needed work done. Evan Osborn, Development Director with the Ronald McDonald House of Southern WV said after last year’s event, "our volunteers from the University of Charleston were the best! They were able to complete the final phase of our outdoor improvements – we are so grateful to them and United Way for facilitating this huge improvement to RMHC".
